Jake Krushell from Super Duper has put together some of his favourite tunes that all relate to current world problems. A lot of the tunes in the mix were produced in Jamaica in the 70s and 80s with a strong emphasis on hard hitting political messages. The same messages are still very dominant all over the world in 2020. Expect Dub, Reggae, live dance recordings and some current Dancehall hits.
Jake runs the film night, Super Duper, in Leeds where he showcases all kinds of sounds and visuals from the hotter regions. He currently runs it down at Hope House where music and visuals are played through the amazing Cosmic Slop’ high fidelity sound system. Listen to the lyrics and play it loud.
